If you have any questions about Soda Syphons or about any NZ Soda Syphon Companies then feel free to contact me.
I’m a bottle collector from the Kapiti Coast that collects many different types of bottles such as these. I quite regularly travel the North and South Island looking for new bottles to add to my collection. If you have any interesting bottles, I’d be happy to come and view, and collect if you’re happy to sell.
I’ve recently finished writing a book that catalogues 840 different NZ soda syphons. For each soda syphon I have recorded the Company that used them, the Supplier, Size, Colour, Rating, Operating Period of the Company, Approximate Year Made, and also any comments about the history of the Company.
You can find more about the book here.
Here is an article about me looking for soda syphons in Taranaki.
Hi, I found an amazing old glass bottle with syphon, it’s a Waiwai made one and the etching in the glass says Maurice O’Connor, Levin and then British Syphon company co Ltd, London. I love old things and very happy with this, I’m trying to find out more about where it came from. If you know anything, that would be great.
Hi Candice,
Sorry for the delay in replying. The website wasn’t notifying me of messages.
It will probably be easier if you email me directly a photo of the syphon. davesbottles@gmail.com.
There are several different Maurice O’Connor syphons.
Thanks,
Dave
